Mission Statement – Friends of Israel Hockey

Friends of Israel Hockey is committed to growing and elevating the sport of hockey in Israel by developing local players through the Israel Elite Hockey League (IEHL) and other high-level programs. We believe that hockey is more than just a game—it is a powerful tool for community building, cultural connection, and national pride.

Our mission extends beyond the ice. We aim to bring Jewish athletes from around the world to Israel, not only to train, compete, and develop their skills but also to immerse themselves in the country’s rich culture, history, and traditions. Through these experiences, we strive to strengthen the bond between Jewish athletes and Israel, fostering a lifelong connection to the land and its people.

In addition to advancing hockey, we are dedicated to giving back to Israel and its communities. Our programs encourage players to participate in volunteer initiatives, outreach efforts, and engagement with local organizations, ensuring that their time in Israel is impactful both on and off the ice. Whether through mentoring young players, supporting underserved communities, or contributing to meaningful social causes, we believe that every athlete has the power to make a difference.

Through competition, camaraderie, and community service, Friends of Israel Hockey is shaping the future of the sport in Israel while reinforcing the values of leadership, resilience, and Jewish unity. Our goal is to create a lasting impact—developing not just elite hockey players, but also ambassadors for Israel and the Jewish people worldwide.
